The browser that stays out of your way.
Caspian is a calm, private desktop browser. It tells you when a site is the real one, blocks ads and trackers on its own, and keeps split view, a media player and family controls built in.
Know it's the real one before you type a password.
Caspian carries a curated, cryptographically signed list of genuine sites. On one of them, a check appears in the address bar, on the tab and in site info. A lookalike simply has no check, and that absence is the tell.
A padlock only means the connection is encrypted; a lookalike can have one too. The check means the site is on the list.
Blue means verified
Banks, payment services, stores and the tools you sign into every day. If the badge is there, you are where you think you are.
Purple means government
Tax, licensing, benefits and official portals get their own colour, so a copycat asking for your ID has nowhere to hide.
Signed, not scraped
The list is signed with Ed25519 and Caspian ships the public key. A tampered download or a hijacked update is simply ignored.
Certificate details, one click
Click the lock for the issuer, validity and chain, without leaving the page, on any site, verified or not.
The things you'd install extensions for. Already there.
No add-ons to trust, no toolbars to tidy. Caspian ships whole.
Ads and trackers, gone
EasyList and EasyPrivacy filtering built into the engine, cosmetic hiding, YouTube ad pruning and a pop-up guard. Per-site allow list when you want it off.
Split view
Two or more tabs side by side inside one tab. Research on the left, notes on the right.
Tabs that behave
Coloured, collapsible tab groups, pinned tabs, drag to detach, tab search, and a hover card with a live preview and memory use.
Media player & torrents
Downloaded video and music play in Caspian with subtitles, speed and picture-in-picture. Magnet links download inside Downloads and stream while they arrive.
Family controls
Parent PIN, category blocking, allow and block lists, SafeSearch, daily limits and allowed hours.
Verified sites
A signed list of real sites. Blue check for the genuine article, purple for government. Lookalikes get nothing.
Private windows
Off-the-record profile in a tinted window. Nothing written to disk when you close it.
Three themes, your accent
Dark, Midnight or Light with an accent palette. Applies instantly, no restart.
Real DevTools
Chromium DevTools docked bottom or right, or undocked. Inspect element, console, device mode, view source.
Screenshots
Capture the visible page or the whole thing, copy or save from a glass card.
Updates that just happen
Signed builds download in the background and install on restart. Stable, beta, alpha and dev channels.
Per-site switches
JavaScript, images, autoplay and sound, per site, from the site-info popover.
Private by default, not by settings.
The blocker runs inside the engine, so trackers never load in the first place. HTTPS-only, third-party cookie blocking, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are all on from the first launch.
- EasyList + EasyPrivacy with element hiding and auto-refresh
- WebRTC IP protection and fingerprinting protection
- Site-info popover shows exactly what was blocked
- Clear browsing data whenever, private windows for the rest
- Ads & trackersEasyList + EasyPrivacy, built in
- HTTPS-only modeUpgrades every request it can
- Fingerprinting protectionCanvas, fonts, WebRTC IP
- Third-party cookiesBlocked by default
- Do Not Track + GPCSent with every request
Two pages, one tab.
Right-click a tab and add it to a split view. Both sides stay live, both get their own address bar, and the pair moves around like any other tab.
- Coloured, collapsible tab groups
- Drag a tab out to make a window; drag it back to snap it in
- Tab search across every window
- Hover any tab for a live preview and memory use
A player, not a plug-in.
Video and music you download play right in Caspian: glass controls that slide in on hover, subtitles from sidecar files or HLS, playback speed, and a floating picture-in-picture window.
- HLS and DASH stream links open in the player
- Magnet links and .torrent files download inside Downloads
- Play a torrent while it's still arriving
- H.264, AAC, HEVC and Widevine, so streaming services work
Set it up once. Lock it with a PIN.
Supervision lives in the browser, not in an app you have to remember to open. Block categories, keep an allow list, force SafeSearch and give the day a limit.
- Category blocking with downloaded lists
- Daily time limits and allowed hours
- Per-site allow and block lists
- Locks that a curious kid can't switch off
Dark, Midnight or Light.
Pick a theme and an accent in Settings. It applies while you watch.
Chromium underneath. Nothing from Google on top.
Every site renders exactly as it does in Chrome, with the same engine and the same codecs. The account sign-in, sync, Safe Browsing lookups and telemetry are not there. Caspian talks to its own update server and nowhere else.
Ready when you are.
